Life style photo shoot!!
My goodness I feel a gin and tonic coming on...
They do say to never work with children or animals don't they!!!!! And today we were working with both- although thank goodness, the animals in this case were all stuffed and fairly quiet- the same can't be said for the children ( I am allowed to say this, as they are my kidlets!!)
Please see some examples of our days work- just a little sneak preview, all will be on the website http://www.peekaboo.org.uk/ very soon!
Spanking New Blog!
Hi there and welcome to our brand new, sparkly and shiny blog!
We are very excited to be writing this blog, as it means that "Peekaboo" is nearly ready to rumble.
My goodness did we ever think we'd get there? Probably not- all the hours of trawling the Internet to find exactly the right products to fit our ethos have all been worth while!
For those of you who are new to Peekaboo we are a company who specialise in original, and quirky gifts4kids. Most of our items are handmade, and a huge proportion are fair trade. We are very conscious about the products we sell, and wouldn't sell anything which we would n't purchase for our own children.
The highlight of my "Peekaboo" journey so far has to be hearing my two children (who I will constantly refer to as the kidlets from now on) come down in the morning to be greeted by yet another "Peekaboo Pet" that I had created the night before!
I would lie in bed and listen to their fairy elephant feet tip toe down stairs, and then the delight in their voices as they discover the new addition to the peekaboo family.
I must admit on a couple of occasions, having spent hours with my needle and cotton until the wee hours, a character to which I thought looked like a "dog" may be recognised as another type of animal by the kidlets.
Almost though, this adds to the uniqueness of the "peekaboo pets" each animal is unique, and no two will be the same as they are all hand made!
Keep watching for updates on the forth coming launch of our website www.peekaboo.org.uk
